Norma Ivy O’Donnell
Ms. O’Donnell is a consulting geologist for Cayenne. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Science Degree from Oklahoma State University in Science Education. Ms. O’Donnell has over 15 years oil and gas exploration and development experience. She began her career in the early 1980’s working the Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma and Kansas for Cobra Exploration. In the late 1980’s, while employed with Continental Resources, she worked much of the initial data which led to the company’s later successes in the Williston Basin and at the Ames Hole Field, an inferred impact feature. During the early 1990’s, Ms. O’Donnell had her own company, TANGO Exploration, where her exploration efforts were focused on the Northern Shelf of the Anadarko Basin where TANGO successfully extended an Oswego Lime field. During the mid- to late 1990’s, she was employed by LLOG Exploration in Metairie, Louisiana, for whom she primarily supplied geologic support for developmental drilling operations in numerous south Louisiana fields and compiled geologic and engineering data for property divestitures packages. During the early 2000s, Ms. O’Donnell worked for Chief Oil and Gas and Western Production in Barnett Shale plays for whom she geologically evaluated proposed locations as to fault and karst risk, performed some wellsite work, compared and contrasted drilling wells to proved producers of variable quality and oversaw the maintenance of accurate well and production databases for both companies. In 2006, Ms. O’Donnell established her own geologic consulting service and now serves as a consultant to Cayenne and in such capacity has performed extensive, in-depth geologic analysis in Colorado’s DJ Basin, the Val Verde Basin of West Texas and the Ventura Basin of California, in addition to other projects.
Brett Huffman
